Thuringia International School invites all families to a fun play day at the park across the street. Our teachers prepared lots of activities for the kids. You may also visit the school if you like!

Grand Opening of the New Gym - A nice celebration together with the Park-Grundschule

GRAFE Advanced Polymers GmbH supports ThIS Weimar
Matthias Grafe, one of the four Grafe brothers who own the company, handed over a cheque to our school.
20.000€!!!
... was the amazing amount of money the Grafe company could collect during the celebration of their 20th anniversary. All their guests were asked to donate money to ThIS in lieu of gifts.
For each Euro donated the company added another one.
The money will be used to support students with an international background.

The Discovery of America
Come and enjoy the play performed by our Spanish students of grades 6 and 7!
Dear Families and Guests,
On Oct 13 at 14:30 students of grades 6 and 7 will present a theatre play about the discovery of America. The play will in SPANISH!
Afterwards the students will sell cakes and cookies to support a field trip to Barcelona. Enjoy!

GOOD NEWS from the IB / Kultusministerkonferenz
Entrance requirements for German universities changed!!!
The recognition of the IB Diploma as an entrance qualification for German universities has changed.
The main difference is:
Students need to study two languages at level A or B; one non-mothertongue language needs be studied as a Language A or Language B HL.

At a wonderful celebration at the Musikschule “Ottmar Gerster”
we congratulated Caroline Hilmes, Kai-Hendrik Klockhaus, Lisa Mertens, Heidi Schollock, Luisa Russwurm, Yige Yan, Felix Montag and Juliane Völker.
Parents, teachers and guests gathered to demonstrate their pride in all that these young people have accomplished, and to wish them every success and happiness as they move on into a new and exciting chapter of their lives. We thank them for the significant contributions they have made to our school and for inviting us to share this remarkable occasion with them.
